Upgrading Meedios

This is now outdated, refer to the instructions here.

------

MeediOS does not have a very good upgrade process so I've always liked to rebuild the config. The main reason is that some of the new view/and changes cannot be applied to existing files. I find its faster to blow way the current install and rebuild.

The notes below help with the rebuild process

0) Move the original program folder from c:\MeediOS to Desktop
1) Install the new version of MeediOS
2) Copy data\configuration.xml
3) Copy resources\screens\Evolution\MovieFileBrowser* (Skipped step as installing xperience)
4) Copy media\Backgrounds & media\Movies & media\TVShows (with skip all)

Start up Configuration Manager

1) Media lib
Create new library called Bollywood
Click imports
Add a regex importer
Set Root Folder
Set Rex Ex
 (.*\\)*(?<Name>.*)\\(.*)\\VIDEO_TS\.(?<FileType>ifo|IFO)
(.*\\)*(?<Name>.*)\\(.*)\.(?<FileType>.*)
Save and Run the new import

Click View and add an "All" view.
Add and entry to this view and in the Mode column set it to images

2) Media library
Create new library called World
Click imports
 Add  MoviesFileImporter
Set Search Folder Name
Set path's
Save and Exit Configuration manager and then restart to import

Click View and add an "All" view.
Add and entry to this view and in the Mode column set it to images

3) Media lib -> Movies -> imports

Set path's in "Import files by FolderName"
Save and Exit Configuration and then restart to import

Then run Import Data & Import Media Info

4) Media lib -> TVShows -> imports
Set method to series\season\episode
Set folders
